EYFS Warriner Farm 24

The sun was shining down as we went to visit Warriner farm. Once we arrived, we were given the opportunity to feed the Warriner goats from Marie the farmer. We learnt that baby goats are called ‘kids’ and the females are called ‘nannies. Inside the barn there were also pigs and donkeys, which Marie shared her farming knowledge about the animals’. We moved outside and came across the new-born lambs. Lambs can walk straight after birth, are reliant on their mothers and are kept with their mothers to build up the relationship between the lamb and ewe. A brilliant trip in which we learnt about ‘lambing’, one of many components of Spring.
