Our Before and After-school provision is located on our school premises, offering an easy, reliable, and practical solution for your child’s before and after-school care needs run by Grange staff members allowing for continuity of provision.

 

Our aim is to provide a structured, supervised environment enabling children to choose their own activities at the beginning and end of their school day. 

We cater for all ages and interests and have created designated areas for specific activities such as arts and crafts, role play, construction, and imagination, providing opportunities for children to explore their creativity and imagination. We also have a quiet area where children can chill out and read on the sofa, play boardgames and complete jigsaws. 

 

We encourage outdoor activities whenever the weather allows, in our outdoor playground area, providing children with opportunity to get some fresh air and run off some steam after all their hard work at school. Activities such as ball games, group games and exploring nature are just some of our outdoor activities we enjoy.

Breakfast Club is an opportunity for children to set themselves up for a successful day at school with a good hearty breakfast and stimulating activities. Children are offered a variety of breakfast choices and will then go out for a morning play. The last 5 minutes of breakfast club is dedicated to quiet reading where children will be supported in reading where necessary. This is a time for us to make sure that all children are ready to enter their classes calmly and ready to learn. For children in Foundation and Key Stage 1, our staff will accompany them to their classrooms for the beginning of the school day ensuring that they are organised and happy.

Breakfast Club                  Times 7.45 - 8.30         £7.00 per session

Short Session                     Times 8.15 - 8.30         £1.25 per session

After-School Club  provision opens from 3.00pm each afternoon. All children are escorted by a member of Grange staff from their individual classes.

During the longer sessions, the children will receive a healthy snack.

 

Short Session (3:00pm - 3:30pm) - £2.50 per seesion

Early Birds (3:00pm – 4:45pm) - £12.00 per session

Night Owls (3:00pm – 6:00pm) - £15.00 per session

The Orchard is available for any child attending The Grange or St. John's from Foundation Stage to Year 6. All sessions are booked through your child's Arbor account. To activate this, please email the school office  office.2058@grange.oxon.sch.uk or call 01295 257861 to be added to the club.

Fees are payable at the time of booking on Arbor.

 

Due to demand for places, we require 7 days’ notice to cancel a session. Sessions cancelled without 7 days’ notice will still be charged.
